Complete Church Sound System Designs

Here at the Memphis Sound Lab, we create complete systems, designed to operate within the acoustic and worship style requirements of your church.

The design’s number one purpose is to achieve the highest level of intelligibility that is possible, but also helps to provide answers to questions regarding a new or renovated sound system. How do you ensure that the design will fit your churches needs? What kind of system is best for your worship style? Will my system be able to grow with the church? How much will it cost?

We work directly with your architect to design the sound, video, lighting, and acoustic treatment for your space, paying close attention to the aesthetics to make sure the AV systems blends with your worship space. It is never too early to bring in the AV designer & consultant. We can provide all of the electrical, conduit, and structural requirements so that the architect can specify them in the master plans that will be sent for your contractors to bid.

Sound: Hearing the Word of God In Romans (10-17) the Bible teaches us that "our faith is based on hearing God's word". It doesn’t matter how nice your church looks if you cannot receive and understand the message.
The Memphis Sound Lab has been working with Religious organizations of all denominations for thirty years. We design and install church sound systems for all types of venues, including worship centers, multipurpose facilities, youth rooms, and performance halls. Whatever your needs are, temporary or permanent, large or small, we can find a solution that is high quality and cost effective.
Video: Seeing is Believing A growing number of churches are implementing sophisticated projectors and projection systems in an effort to reach out to their members and become more culturally relevant. Adding a new visual element to the worship service can re-energize the service and bring members a better understanding of Gods message
Church worship has progressed to include visual and musical experiences that accompany the sermon. Projectors and screens have become an integral part of todays worship service because of the added impact and understanding that a video system can provide. You can use the video system to display the preachers outline, church announcements, lyrics to hymns, and any other information you need to convey to your congregation. You can also set the mood with color changing lights, and excite the crowd with lighting effects and other visual effects.
Lighting: Don’t Hide Your Light Under a Bushel Each church needs to light their worship services based on their worship style, and just as each worship style is different, their lighting is going to be different, yet the concepts behind the lighting are timeless. The Fundamentals of Worship
The Fundamentals of Worship Lighting can be broken down into four primary purposes; visibility, selective visibility, mood, and modeling. Lighting is communication, and lighting serves to enhance aural communication, whether it is a spotlight for the preacher, colored lighting for the stage, or a full light system for large productions. We use the four primary lighting concepts to communicate the same message that’s coming from the stage, reinforcing the message, increasing both the message’s impact and the audience’s retention of the message.
Acoustic Treatment/Construction Your sound is only as good as the room it is in, so it is important that the church acoustics are integrated into any church sound system design. We provide you with treatment options, as well as design consultation.
We offer our acoustical design services for churches of all sizes and denominations. We provide acoustical design for new construction and remedial or renovation. We also provide objective evaluation of acoustical conditions in existing churches, and are able to provide preliminary designs to the building committees for the required improvements to aid in budget planning and fundraising efforts.
Training We believe that education is paramount for proper church sound. With so many secular ideas infiltrating the church, supplemental training is vital for churches to continue to clearly present the greatest story ever told.
It is for this reason we offer a wide range of training programs and workshops for our customers specifically focusing on training people to serve as AV technicians in churches.
